Orange County Freeway Mitigation Program
The properties include iconic California landscapes with live oak woodlands, coastal sage scrub, chaparral, native grasslands and riparian forest. They provide critical open space, wildlife connectivity and pristine habitat for numerous sensitive species including California gnatcatcher, Cactus Wren, Cooper’s hawk, Orange-throated whiptail, and intermediate mariposa lily.

Outcome:
CLG represented the Orange County Transportation Authority in its acquisition of these habitat lands using voter-approved Measure M2 funds. The properties will be protected in perpetuity in order to provide comprehensive environmental mitigation for the impacts of future freeway projects.
